Thursday evening's total for Chimes for Charity reached $3,677 with 42 Children sponsored.
That brings this week's total to $15,171 toward the goal of $35,000 and 279 total children have been sponsored out of the 900.
Chimes for Charity Co-Chair Kim Hill said they still need more people to sponsor children in order to help the 900 in need.

A massive sink hole eight feet wide has blocked about 1,500 people from entering or leaving the Bear Creek neighborhood.
The sink hole is on Shell Rock Landing Road, the only road leading the 500-home neighborhood.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation fixed the hole last week, but heavy rains and a broken water pipe created an even larger sink hole.

A new event was added to the Foggy Bottom BBQ Bash this year - the Youth Division Chicken Cook-off allowed youngsters ages 9-18 to show off their grilling abilities.
Contestants worked alone, except for setting up or in case of an emergency as determined by the contest monitors.
They were allowed 30 minutes to set up equipment, prepare charcoal, etc. prior to the beginning of the timed event.

Fiery Ron's has become a West Ashley favorite for its tender ribs, chicken, and pulled pork sandwiches piled high with coleslaw and pickles on Texas toast.
In May, pitmaster Aaron Siegel opened his second location, right in the heart of the action on Sullivan Island's Middle Street.
The general effect is that of a backroads barbecue shack from somewhere in East Texas dropped down on the beach.
